| Characteristics |
Glial cell tumor (cloned from a rat glial tumor). The tumor was induced by
N-nitrosomethylurea by Benda et al. Clone C6 produces S-100 protein. This cell
line has been capable of performing organ-specific function. This cell line
shows elevated levels of glyceryl posphate dehydrogenase activity when
stimulated with glucocorticoids. |
